Pharmacy Degree UiTM - First Semester .
Assalamualaikum .

too lazy to update actually . but I think this thing is worth writing for . so..lets talk about my first semester as a pharmacy student .

to be honest , until now I don't even know what course that suit me most , really . but since I've already in this course , I don't wanna stop or quit . Imma continue with this course no matter how hard it is . and in shaa Allah , Allah will ease my journey through it .

so..if you get to be a pharmacy student in UiTM , what will you learn during your first semester ? here it is . you'll learn about organic chemistry , physicochemical basis , pharmacy practice , and anatomy & physiology . those are the core subjects while the minor subject will be about economy . for organic chemistry , if you have a strong basic of it , in shaa Allah you will survive . if not , you can still survive , but you must work harder . you will have a lot lot lot of free time during the first four weeks . so use those times wisely . physicochemical basis was one of my favourite subject during this semester . if you love chemistry , you'll definitely gonna love this subject .

I love the anatomy & physiology subject too at the beginning , but seriously , it was one of the toughest subject ever in this sem . I used to just study using lecture notes during asasi . and I did score it well . but after I got myself into degree life , seriously no more studying with lecture notes only , for this subject . you need to study more than that . yeahh..imagine having 100++ slide to be taught to the students in 2 hours . and one slide got lots of info to be explained . so yup , they definitely didn't have enough time and ended up telling you to just study those things by yourself later . not just that , if you just study those 100++ slide only , you will never be able to answer the questions , quizzes , tests etc that they give . lots of the answer for those questions somehow didn't exist in your lecture notes . unfortunately , we got our reference book pretty late . so there's not much we can study about . and when we got our books , we were in the most busy state already .

for me , pharmacy practice was the best subject when it comes to the practical session , other than that..just okay . and this subject freaked me out the most during final exam . pharmacy practice was actually the most important subject during this sem I guess , because it was truly just about medicine and pharmacy , how to make medicine , how to be a good pharmacist , what was the pharmacist's role etc . I really have to build up my passion towards this course , towards this pharmacy thingy .

my suppositories ♥

we had lab session for organic chemistry , pharmacy practice , and anatomy & physiology subject . pharmacy practice's practical session was the best . we got an opportunity to make medicines in the solution form , emulsion , suspension form , capsules , ointment , cream , lotion , suspension form , and suppositories . I enjoyed making the emulsion the most I guess . hiks..note that you will feel very superbly tired after the practical session cause you gotta do lots of things in a very short period of time . but students from diploma seemed to handle it well . yup , they knew a lot more than us about this subject .

my group's magazine for our ctu assignment :)

okay maybe that's pretty enough for academics thingy . co-curriculum was awesome too . I chose to be in kesatria , which was mostly about marching during the first sem . it was awesome since I love marching , and I used to be at the front row and at the centre everytime we were marching . and Alhamdulillah we were so lucky to have a very kind teacher . he was so old and he treated us like his children . he also helped us a lot during our co-curriculum examination . yes , we do love him .

and not to forget , me being a volunteer for one of the biggest event (pharmville) of our faculty . yup , this event was organized by us , pharmacy students . and its about animal awareness . there was a talk given by awesome people about animal and also about pharmacy , drugs etc . I only had a chance to hear a talk from the owner of Guardian and one of my foreign lecturer . there were lots of booth and animal exhibition too (cats for adoption , leopard gecko for sale , snakes , birds and also few weird animals which I didn't even know what to call) . it was fun indeed !

leopard gecko!

its a 10kg cat guys !

the seniors here were so awesome too . they all treated us like a family . yes , a family of pharmacy students . we got into this course with no idea what books to use and all that . they came to us before we start our lecture session and introduced themselves , told us what books should we use and they bought all those books for us . we just have to give them money and they settled all those things for us .

kay I'm tired already actually . what can I say about this course is it is an awesome course overall . you guys who was chosen to be in this course should be very grateful because there's a lot more people who are dying to get into this course but are not chosen . and it is a course where you guys need to work harder to get into the dean list . even now JPA doesn't give scholarship to all pharmacy students like before anymore . only some of us got that JPA scholarship . so its a very tough competition . and it is an obviously a long-learning field . its a lifetime learning . if you think you can't afford or not willing to learn for your entire life , then don't choose this course .

this is my roommate , she's pretty cute right ?
